The Uncle Sam range advertising a graphic image by Schumacher & Ettlinger, New York 1876
The Uncle Sam Range advert looks like a painting rather than an advert, there are specifics that draws your attention in the advert and that would be the cooker, globe and the Uncle Sam with the eagle on his shoulder which is the American emblem. It is clear that everything about this advert is American, the 2 colours of the American flag it's self that being red and blue.
The wild western style font (golden) visually makes you feel like it's a command for you to buy this American cooker, and at that time people had the mind set that 'if its American, I must buy it'
The list in which the globe holds contains each country's type of food for example Ireland's most common food source is potatoes the Americans having a hot headed attitude to the fact that they eats better then the Rest of the world.
This advert is aimed at man, through how they communicate that message is by the fact that everyone around the table about to have food are all males, the only woman in the advert is serving the food.
